About Us
The Moss Racing – Audi team is an initiative, whereby Terry Moss wanted to give back to motorsport and further develop and provide opportunities for fellow South Africans. In 1980 he was building engines and preparing race cars, before he was recruited as a works driver for Volkswagen followed on by Audi, winning numerous championships. It was during his term under the Audi banner, that he officially established Terry Moss Racing as a fully fledged business in 1991.
Since 1991 Moss Racing has helped establish 28 South Arican drivers, from the Karting breeding ground right through to South Africas premiere racing series, of which 14 drivers were of colour and 4 were woman, producing:

57 x Podium Positions in South African Championships
5 x Sets of protea colours
First driver of colour to win a South African Championship (Terry Moss Racing and Engen Made history in producing SA’s first National Champion of Colour)
Various International Success and multiple 1st places flying the South African flag
Driver of Colour to win a Regional Championship
10+ Club Championships
In 2018, Terry Moss Racing and Engen celebrated a 20 year partnership and parted ways. In 2019 Terry Moss Racing re-established itself not only as a winning team on track, but a winning team, leading in brand value, sustainability and development. In order to achieve this it needed to be a collaboration between parties, which has seen Terry Moss Racing evolve into Moss Racing, paving the way forward for a future to fulfil the groups vision.
The Drivers / Team
The Global Touring Car series, is where the Moss Racing Audis compete. It is a series which attracts in excess of 100 000 attendees throughout the season and thousands of viewers on Supersport. This year is going to be bigger and better than before, with the return of Tschops Sipuka the first South African National Motorsport Champion of colour, not only once, but twice, winning multiple championships, together with Simon Moss a International and National Champion, having flown the countries flag on the podium around the world in a F1 curtain raiser series. Having been contained for the last 3 years as a support driver in a runner up podium finishing role, this year is his year to step up to the plate and lead the team, following in his fathers footsteps together with Tschops Sipuka.
The drivers both hail from the Eastern Cape. Tschops Sipuka was born in Qumbu and today is known as the Transkei Tornado, from donkey karts to South Africas greatest and fastest Race cars, he took a sabbatical to focus on building his businesses which sees him with two petrol stations and having developed a mall in the Transkei and back on Track. Simon Moss was born and bred in Port Elizabeth and works in the agricultural sector, when he is not on track, he is racing from farm to farm, installing solar systems and providing communities with water and lighting.
Both drivers are competing in the Global Touring Car series under Moss Racing/ Audi Sport The 2019 Global Touring Cars.
